Douglas Keehn

Mr. Keehn was employed by Sea Ray Boat’s Product Development & Engineering (PD&E) from 1986 through 2004.  Mr. Keehn performed a number of technical and management tasks, ranging from developing a proprietary navigation and control system (Sea Ray Navigator) to implementing the first major robotic milling system in a recreational boating manufacturing.  He was the Director of Engineering of Sea Ray from 1999 to 2004.  Mr. Keehn holds 4 patents related to the marine industry, developed and perfected while employed at Sea Ray.  He a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the Society of Naval Architects and Naval Engineers (SNANE).  Mr. Keehn received a Bachelor of Mechanical  Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.


  Mr. Ousley was employed by Sea Ray Boats, Inc. since 1974.  Beginning as a fabrication technician, he rose through 31 years of service to lead and manage various major research, design and manufacturing groups.  From 1995 for 10 years he was Propulsion Manager for Product Developmetn & Engineering.  Ben oversaw approximately 25 engineers, CAD operators and technicians.  His group was responsible for the design, prototyping, performance and documentation for all mechanical, propulsion and electrical systems for approximately 12 new boats per year, ranging from 16’ to 65’.

 

Mr. Ousley holds 6 patents related to the marine industry, developed and perfected while employed at Sea Ray.  He is also on the Technical Board of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).

Ben Ousley has been a resident of Merritt Island, FL since 1970.  His love of boating led to a 30 year profession in boat design and manufacturing. He is an avid boater,  fisherman and hunter.  He met his wife Kathy at Sea Ray and they have a daughter, Lisa, a University of Florida graduate.
